Welcome to Our Kitchen!

From soup to nuts, The Gamekeeper's Tavern has it all.

THIS WAY TO FINE DINING

Before the first glass of wine arrives at the table, the eyes have already begun to feast.  The plates, the flatware, the linens, and glassware all influence the experience of a meal to be remembered.  The old adage about first impressions has become increasingly more true with today's savvy diners.  With its rustic mountain elegance and sophisticated casual style, the setting and ambiance at The Gamekeeper's Tavern will thrill even the most critical diners.  The menu focuses on fresh game and fish, but has offerings for even the pickiest of palates.  Chef Mathew Kowal, along with his sous chef Erik Hedlund focus on locally sourced ingredients that change seasonally.  Come in and join us for a uniquely delicious farm to table experience.

GRILLED CHICKEN, PENNE & OLIVE SALAD

This light salad comes together fast.

1 sliced grilled chicken breast

12 oz cooked and cooled penne pasta

12 ripe cherry tomatoes sliced in half

1 cup kalamata olives

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 cup white balsamic vinegar

1 sprig fresh rosemary

10 medium pieces of fresh basil
1/4 tsp. sea salt

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

4 turns fresh black pepper

5 oz feta cheese

Grill and slice chicken to your desired size.  Cook and cool the penne (al dente).  Add white balsamic to a large mixing bowl along with coarsely chopped rosemary, sea salt, red pepper, black pepper, and half of the basil.  Vigorously whisk the mixture and slowly add your olive oil to emulsify.  When finished, toss with all remaining ingredients and enjoy the fruits of your quick but delicious labor.
